1. Introduction & Scope

This Privacy Policy describes how SLD Bot ("the Bot", "we", "our") collects, uses, and protects data when you interact with it on Discord. By using SLD Bot or inviting it to your server, you agree to the terms described in this policy.

This policy applies to all servers that have added SLD Bot and to all users who interact with its commands.

2. Data We Collect

SLD Bot collects the minimum data necessary to operate its features. Specifically, we store:

• Guild (Server) ID — to associate settings (prefix, language) with your server.
• User ID — when a moderator issues a warning, the target user's ID is stored alongside the warning record.
• Moderator ID — stored in warning records to log which moderator issued the action.
• Warning reason & timestamp — text and datetime provided by the moderator at the time of warning.
• Guild prefix & language setting — administrator-configured values per server.
• Saved playlists & queues — song names/URLs saved by users with playlist commands.

3. What We Do NOT Collect

We explicitly do not collect or store:

• Message content beyond what is required to process a slash command in real time
• Voice audio from voice channels
• Private (DM) messages
• Email addresses, phone numbers, or any personally identifiable information (PII)
• IP addresses or device information
• Payment or financial data
• Browser cookies or tracking identifiers

4. How We Use Your Data

All data collected is used solely for the legitimate operation of SLD Bot features:

• Delivering appropriate bot responses in the server's configured language
• Storing moderation records (warnings) so moderators can track history
• Persisting user-created playlists and saved queues
• Matching the correct command prefix to each guild

We do not use your data for advertising, profiling, analytics, or any commercial purpose.

5. Data Retention

Data is retained for as long as the bot remains in your server or until you explicitly request deletion:

• Server settings (prefix, language) — retained until the bot is removed from the server.
• Warning records — retained until a moderator uses /clearwarn or the bot is removed.
• Playlists — retained until deleted via /deleteplaylist.

Removing the bot from your server does not automatically purge stored data. To request complete deletion, contact us at the address below.

6. Data Sharing & Third Parties

We do not sell, rent, lease, or share your data with any third parties for commercial purposes. Data may be processed by:

• Discord Inc. — as the platform through which all interactions occur (subject to Discord's own Privacy Policy).
• PebbleHost — our hosting provider where the bot's database resides. They do not have access to application-level data content.

7. Security

We implement reasonable security practices to protect stored data, including access controls on our hosting environment. However, no system is 100% secure. If you become aware of a security issue, please contact us immediately via Discord or email.

8. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:

• Request a copy of data stored about you or your server
• Request correction of inaccurate data
• Request deletion of all data associated with your server or user ID

9. Children's Privacy

SLD Bot is not directed at children under the age of 13 (or the minimum age required by Discord's Terms of Service in your country). We do not knowingly collect data from minors. If you believe a minor's data has been processed, please contact us for immediate removal.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. For significant changes, we will announce them in our support server. Continued use of SLD Bot after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
